Pure Cotton
Most affordable bathrobes blend cotton with polyester to bring the price down, the trouble is that polyester does not breathe, does not absorb, and does not soften with wash. We made a quieter, more honest decision, 100% premium cotton, woven in a waffle structure to a hotel and spa standard. The price is held by careful sourcing, not by compromising the cloth.
Skin
Cotton breathes. It absorbs moisture and releases it. It does not trap heat against the body the way synthetics do, which makes it kinder for the hours straight after a bath, for the slow morning, for the warm afternoon at the resort. The waffle weave adds tiny pockets of air across the surface, which makes the cotton even more comfortable than a flat weave.
The Wash
Cotton is one of the few textiles that grows kinder over time. The first wash blooms the fibre, the second softens it, the tenth makes it feel like a robe you have owned for years. This is the small everyday luxury of pure cotton, it improves with care rather than wearing out.
